The Quad dinning hall Thursday night was outstanding. I woke up Halloween morning feeling a little discouraged about my favorite holiday. It seemed to me that no one cared about it anymore because they had celebrated it to such an extravagant extent over the weekend.
I was worried that the novelty of such a wonderful holiday had lost its shine from so much wear and tear over the days preceding it. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised on my way to a morning meeting when a I saw a girl dressed like something resembling a German milk made. Throughout the day I saw an amazing Elmo costume, princess Leia, and an adorable Mini Mouse, just to name few.
I do not really recall anyone dressing up during the day last year, I know I didn’t. This year, for some reason in the morning I felt the urge to put on my wig. Maybe everyone got that same urge.
The most impressing and heart warming display of Halloween festiveness was the Quad dinning hall. There were cob webs every where, pumpkins, fog and scary stories being read over the P.A.
The best part however was the employees. I think as a whole they had the best costumes of the day. And it wasn’t like they just put on some ears or a pair of wings… they really went all out. Their costumes ranged from funny to scary to down right frightening. I loved it all.
