ImageLooking for a talk show that is laid back? You have found it! The Awesome Sweet Radio Show With Two Pretty Ladies brings you funny stories, odd news and a wide variety of music. You can listen in every Wednesday from 4:00pm-5:00pm.

The hosts, Jess Long and Rachel Westerhoff, tailor their show to allow a wide variety of listeners. “We want our listeners to have fun, relax and laugh!” says Jess. Each week the women present true stories about odd/random events. The music is themed each week and the women ask their audience for input on the theme of the music.

Rachel is a sophomore majoring in both Psychology and English; Psychology because she thought it would be something interesting and English because, “literature is like chocolate for my brain,” says Rachel.

She plays soccer with Women’s Club soccer and tries to go to Psychology Club meetings when she can. Rachel agreed to do the radio show with Jess on a whim and does not regret it in the least. “It [the show] has definitely become a highlight of my week,” said Rachel.

Jess is a speech/language pathology major. She is also the promotions director of KPAC radio and business manager of the Pacifican. As a sophomore here on campus, Jess loves Pacific and enjoys being very involved. She is also the host of KPAC Promotions Hour which is every Friday from 6:00pm-7:00pm. KPAC Promotions hour is a show dedicated to promoting new artists from around the country. The show also has free material to give-away such as CDs and posters for listeners who call in.

“This is our first radio show, so we are still getting used to being on the air, but it is so much fun! I would suggest that everyone have a show, KPAC is a great student organization to be part of!” exclaimed Jess.

Listen to Awesome Sweet Radio on KPAC Radio 89.7fm, watch Pac-2 TV channel 2 in your residence hall room, or listen to a live stream of the station online at kpac.pacific.edu. Youʼre on KPAC!
